Kayayei Dignity Outreach
A community outreach where our team and volunteers distributed menstrual hygiene packs to Kayayei and girls in the market community, alongside a menstrual health talk.
Dignity for Every Girl, Every Month.
Ending period poverty in Ghana
We work with Kayayei, the girls and young women who carry loads in Ghana’s markets, and other girls in need. We give them sanitary pads, teach them about menstrual health and speak up against the stigma around periods.
Every girl. Every month.
Who we are
At Pad4Kaya Girls Foundation, we believe that every girl deserves to manage her menstrual health with dignity, confidence, and without barriers. We are a Ghanaian nonprofit organization dedicated to tackling period poverty and empowering vulnerable girls, particularly Kayayei (female head porters), through access to menstrual hygiene products, education, and advocacy.
Our Vision
A world where every girl has access to menstrual health resources, education, and opportunities to thrive without the limitations of period poverty.
Our Mission
To improve menstrual health and well-being by providing menstrual hygiene products, education, and advocacy that empower vulnerable girls and promote dignity, health, and equal opportunities.
What we do

We distribute sanitary pads and hygiene essentials directly to Kayayei and vulnerable girls where they live and work.

Friendly, judgement-free sessions on the menstrual cycle, hygiene and looking after yourself during your period. No question is off limits.

We speak up against the shame around periods and work with communities and organisations to make change that lasts.
